Remaining true to its historic Art Deco roots from the 1920s, the design for Wyndham TRYP Hotel-Newark NJ carries with it a harmony of sleek modern elements and distinctive pop-art flavors that TRYP is globally recognized for. There is a meaningful infusion of local historical Newark touchpoints thoughtfully layered throughout the hotel, including the first-floor bar and restaurant named Dutch's, a nod to the infamous mobster who once frequented the building in the 1920s and 1930s.
All the spaces within the hotel were specially curated to evoke the guest’s emotional connection to each space through the use of color and texture. The goal was to balance and uplift the guest experience by creating purposeful gathering zones that promoted vibrant community interaction.
