From ordinary to extraordinary, this traditional 1920s Victorian home in Chatham, NJ has been transformed into our modern take on the conventional office look. Our clients requested a bold, out-of-the-box design solution that would offer not only a superior service experience but also a vibrant, life-enhancing atmosphere. So, we set out to refurbish and renovate this fixer-upper into an intimate boutique workspace— a blueprint set to inspire their future offices across multiple states. At the heart of this project is the creation of a new way that wealth management offices are designed and operated. There are no other offices that look like this in the wealth management sector, this is the first of its kind.
Starting with the premise of a residential setting, our approach was to seamlessly integrate a contemporary and relaxed corporate style into the interiors while preserving the overall approachable energy. Every architectural element was deliberately chosen: The allowance of continuous sightlines for staff members while still allowing intimate spaces within the layout was a key objective. This is achieved through the layering of flooring, glass walls, and furniture pieces. Within the project, we wanted to consider the client experience and the staff's physical and emotional well-being. Thus, the lounge space was curated with a moody playful feel geared toward social interaction through the use of relaxed seating, and the inclusion of multi-use game furniture. We believe that the design has a sense of longevity that embodies the future of the office environment.
